Rex James easily makes it three in a row this year. The real race was for second where Peter Mais got the better of Audley Astwood.

Session 6: Wed. 16/03/2011 - March 'Player of the Month'
Another top three finish (his ninth consecutive) keeps Rex James with 63 points, on top of the 'Player of the Month' standings ahead of Peter Mais on 37 and Valerie Marshall on 35 points.

Session 5: Mon. 14/03/2011 - March 'Player of the Month'.
His eighth consecutive top three finish (3 in last month) helps Rex James to 53 points thus maintaining a big lead in the 'Player of the Month' standings ahead of Peter Mais on 37 and Valerie Marshall on 29.

Session 4: Sat. 12/03/2011 - March 'Player of the Month'.
Rex James' third consecutive win takes him to 43 points and gives him a big lead in the 'Player of the Month' standings ahead of Peter Mais on 31 while Marlene Fulford and Monica Cools-Lartigue each on 24.5, are locked together in third.

Session 3: Mon. 07/03/2011 - March 'Player of the Month'.
A second consecutive win extends the lead of Rex James' who now on 32 points is 10 points ahead in the March 'Player of the Month' from Peter Mais and Michael Coore on 22 each.

Session 2: Sat. 05/03/2011 - March 'Player of the Month'.
Rex James' win jumps him to 20 points and the lead of the 'Player of the Month' from his winning partner Valerie Marshall, currently in second on 18 points. Audley Astwood does just enough to retain third with 16 points.

Session 1: Wed. 02/03/2011 - March 'Player of the Month'.
Peter Mais & Michael Coore lead out of the blocks in the Player of the Month with 15 points each while Peter Muir & Audley Astwood share third on 13 points each.

N.B. - In the Jamaica Bridge Blog's 'Player of the Month' ranking, players are awarded points for each game (session) played inclusive of the audited results of 'Last Saturday' games. Each player of the winning pair gets points equal to the number of pairs entered and each following pair gets 1 point less. E.g., if 7 pairs play, pair 1 gets 7 points (each player), pair 2 gets 6, pair 3 gets 5, ..... pair 7 gets 1. Additionally, 3 bonus points are awarded to the winner of each session, 2 to second place and 1 to third. (In the case of a tie the points for the spots are totalled and then divided between the tied players.)

In two session championships, full points will be awarded for each session. There will be no additional points awarded to the overall winners of these 2-session championships.

There will be no points awarded for team matches. There will probably be no award for December (to be decided). The above table of the points earned to date will be updated after each eligible bridge session.
